How we handle your personal data when you buy a game or contact us.
Data controller

What we collect
- Order details: name, delivery address, phone number and email address you provide at checkout.
- Payment data goes directly to Stripe — your full card number never reaches us.
- Correspondence: your email messages and their content when you contact us.
- The site stores only your language choice in your browser. That is functional data, not personal data.
Why we use it and on what basis
- Fulfilling orders and customer service — performance of a contract.
- Accounting and tax obligations — legal obligation.
- Responding to enquiries — legitimate interest (customer communication).
Providing the checkout details is necessary to enter into and perform the purchase contract — without them we cannot accept or deliver your order. Keeping order data for accounting is a statutory requirement.
Who we share data with
We share data with:
- Stripe — payment processing
- Postal and parcel carriers — shipping
- Amazon Web Services — website hosting and email delivery
- Google (Gmail) — inbox where email sent to us is received and stored
- Accountant — bookkeeping, where needed
Transfers outside the EU
Some providers (Stripe, Amazon Web Services, Google) may process data in the United States. Such transfers rely on the European Commission's adequacy decision for the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, to which these providers are certified, and otherwise on the Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. Copies of these safeguards are available from the providers' data processing terms or from hello@griparcade.eu.
Retention
- Order and accounting data: for the period required by the Finnish Accounting Act (generally 6 years from the end of the financial year).
- Correspondence: for as long as handling the matter requires.
Cookies and tracking
The site sets no cookies and uses no analytics or tracking of any kind. Only your chosen language is stored in your browser. No cookie consent is therefore needed. Stripe's checkout pages, where payment happens, are governed by Stripe's own privacy and cookie policy.
Your rights
You have the right to access your data, correct inaccurate data, request erasure, restrict processing, and port your data. Send requests to hello@griparcade.eu.
Where processing is based on legitimate interest, you have the right to object to it at any time.
Right to complain
You can lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority: the Finnish Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman (tietosuoja.fi).
